Kathmandu institute of Technology Pvt. Ltd (KIT) is
a premiere institution founded in the year 2057 (2000 AD) with goal
of producing high quality manpower in the country.
Centrally located at Shankmul, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, this institute
propose to carryout activities in academic, consultancy and technology
transfer areas. However, at the moment the institute is running Diploma
Level programmes in academic field in affiliation with the
Center for Technical Education and Vocational training (CTEVT) Sanothimi,
Bhaktapur.
The currently run Diploma Level Programmes are
in the Civil, Electronics and Computer Engineering
streams. The institute proposes to continue with the above courses
and include more Engineering disciplines in future. |

objective |
Technical
education should empower and enable the people to meet the challenge
of the market force and become productive. With this practical and
seminal view in mind, we offer 3 years Diploma in Civil, Electronics
and Computer Engineering streams and ensure that KIT graduates
face the difficulties in their career with confidence. |

| Infrastructure: |
The institute
is housed in three buildings and a compound constructed for the
operation of the workshop. The total area covered by the building
and the playground is more than four ropani. The theory buildings
and Physics, Chemistry, Electronics Laboratories and the workshop
are located at the adjoining compound approximately 50 meters away
from the main buildings.
- Administrative Annex
Third Building houses, library, reception as well as the
offices of the director, principal, administrative and account
staffs.
- Teaching Annex
First two building are assigned for the teaching purpose.
- Class Rooms
There are 9 class rooms fully furnished to cater for 48 students
- Drawing Rooms
The drawing room is located at the top of the first building.
The drawing room is equipped to cater for 48 students.
- Physics and Chemistry Lab
The physics and Chemistry lab are located at the adjoining
compound. Both the labs are equipped to cater for 24 students
in each batch.
- Electronic and Electrical Lab
The Electronic and Electrical lab are located at the adjoining
compound. Both the labs are equipped to cater for 24 students
in each batch.
- Workshop
Fully equipped Engineering workshop to cater for 48 students at
a time is the labs are the adjoining compound.
- Library
A library with sufficient numbers of course books and reference
books is located at the ground floor of the Administrative Annex.
The books to student ratio in the library is maintained on the
basis of one reference book per subject per student at a time.
The borrowed book has to be returned back to library within a
week.
- Play Ground
An open space with basket ball and volley ball playing facility
of approx. 3000 square feet is located adjoining to the Administration
Annex. Apart from this table tennis board and badminton court
are also located within the institute premises.
